Golden Pheasants – The male golden pheasants are one of the most striking and beautiful birds that you can keep, as well as being a good choice for beginners. Quails – Quails are lovely little birds and can share an aviary with birds such as budgies or finches. There are many different pet varieties, from the Japanese quail to the Button quail. Zebra Finches – These sweet little birds are popular for their lovely natures and the fact that they are good for beginners. The food that they eat is available in most pet shops, and they also enjoy some fruit and vegetables, such as carrots, cabbage and apples. Just be careful about any gaps in the aviary, as they are tiny escape artists!
