The scam is that users get told by someone pretending to be Apple that their data is being stolen through an app and they need to pay £50 to stop this from happening which couldn’t be further from what really is happening. A solution to this problem is disabling pop-ups on the phone which prevent almost any risk of it happening again.
If for any reason the problem does still occur an emergency way to stop it is to put your mobile device on aeroplane mode then deleting all data and locating your real network provider.
